Toll Stations
According to the provisions of the Concession Agreement, there are six toll stations, operating bidirectionally, one in Spathovouni, one in Nestani, one in Manari Bridge, one in Veligosti, one at the entrance of Kalamata and one in Petrina (Lefktro-Sparti branch). Also, there are three pairs of side toll stations, at Paradisia I/C (at the exit of the motorway, direction to Athens and at the entrance of the motorway, direction to Kalamata), at Arfara I/C (at the entrance of the motorway, direction to Athens and at the exit of the motorway, direction to Kalamata) and at Thouria I/C (at the exit of the motorway, direction to Athens and at the entrance of the motorway, direction to Kalamata).
Vehicle Classification
The rates charged at the toll stations of the Project, are specified in article 24 of the Concession Agreement, which describes the implementation time schedule and the calculation method of toll rates per vehicle category, as foreseen by the Project’s financing plan, which has been agreed with the Greek State and the Lenders.
According to the aforementioned, vehicles are classified as follows:
- Category 1: Motorcycles
- Category 2: Vehicles with or without a trailer, up to 2.20 metres high
- Category 3: Vehicles of 2-3 axles, with or without a trailer, over 2.20 metres high
- Category 4: Vehicles with or without a trailer, of 4 or more axles, over 2.20 metres high
